Drywall & Sheetrock Around Grand Lake

Repairs, patches, water damage, ceilings and texture - matched to the wall that is already there.

Drywall is the last thing anyone sees and the first thing anyone notices. A patch that is flat but the wrong texture, or right in daylight and wrong under a lamp, reads as unfinished work no matter how sound it is underneath.

Grand Lake Foundation Repair handles drywall and sheetrock across Grand Lake Towne, Grove, Claremore and the surrounding Northeast Oklahoma communities - repair and patching, water-damaged board, ceilings, and new installation on additions and remodels.

A lot of our drywall work follows structural repair, which is a useful thing to have in one crew: the wall that cracked because the floor moved gets fixed after the floor stops moving, and it stays fixed. But we also take drywall work on its own.

Drywall & Sheetrock
What you get

Why it's worth doing properly

01

Texture that matches

Orange peel, knockdown, splatter, hand-troweled or smooth. The repair is not finished until it disappears in the same light as the wall around it.

02

Water damage handled properly

Wet board is cut back past the damage, the source is identified, and the cavity is checked before anything is closed up.

03

Ceilings included

Ceilings are harder than walls, show every flaw at a raking angle, and are where most patch jobs are visibly a patch. We do them anyway.

04

Cracks read in context

Recurring cracks in the same corner are usually telling you about the structure, not the drywall. We say so instead of filling it again.

Our process

How we handle drywall & sheetrock

01

Look at why it failed

Impact, moisture, settlement, or a bad original joint. The repair depends on the cause and so does whether it stays fixed.

02

Cut back to sound board

Damaged material out, framing and cavity checked, backing added where the existing board has nothing to land on.

03

Hang, tape and float

New board fastened to framing, joints taped and floated in coats, each one sanded before the next.

04

Texture and blend

Texture matched to the surrounding wall and feathered well past the repair so the edge does not telegraph once it is painted.

Questions

Frequently asked

01

Do you do small drywall repairs, or only big jobs?

Both. A single patch from a door handle or a leak is a normal call. We will tell you honestly if a job is small enough that you would be better off doing it yourself.

02

My drywall crack keeps coming back. Why?

A crack that returns in the same place after being filled is usually movement, not a drywall problem - most often a foundation or framing issue opening the same joint each season. That is worth measuring before you patch it a third time.

03

Can you match my existing texture?

In most cases yes. Knockdown, orange peel, splatter and hand textures can be matched closely enough to disappear once painted. Very old or unusual hand textures are harder and we will say so before starting rather than after.

04

Do you handle water-damaged drywall?

Yes. We cut back past the damage, check the framing and cavity, and identify where the water came from. Replacing board without finding the source just gives you the same repair again next year.

05

Do you paint as well?

We finish and texture ready for paint. Tell us at the estimate if you want the finished paint included and we will scope it in.

06

What areas do you cover for drywall?

Grand Lake Towne, Grove, Claremore and the surrounding Grand Lake and Northeast Oklahoma communities. Call 539-210-3090 to confirm we reach your town.
